BDSM is more than just a sexual variety for us - it's an attitude to life. It is a feeling of life, a whole world full of possibilities and special experiences. I've been painting all my life and also work professionally with images and image effects. A picture series with BDSM focus was therefore obvious. Especially since I was looking for something suitable for our own apartment and was approached by friends from the scene if I could not paint something with a stronger bdsm focus. I wanted no quite explicit or pornographic image content. There should be room for their own imagination - hints that the head turns into its own story. The pictures should inspire. I am always pleased about the many letters from all over the world from the most diverse people, who supposedly recognize themselves in the picture "Great, that's me". In order to leave as much room as possible for my own interpretations, I decided on a hard, high-contrast black and white look, which perfectly translates my enthusiasm for latex and shiny leather. I have been doing commissioned work for the automotive industry for many years and was able to use the parallels between shiny car paints and latex wonderfully. The paintings are a mixed technique between air brush and texture brushes, created digitally on the computer. Although I still learned it conventionally.
